Jacob Flaten, a media consultant from Sparklight Advertising, has once again won a Sell Smarter! Award using AdMall. For this go-around, Flaten leveraged AdMall’s powerful research to help a local dock and trailer business specializing in boat products.
“The [local dock and trailer business] specializes in manufacturing and selling docks and trailers for boats and pontoons,” said Flaten. “Additionally, they manufacture and sell utility trailers and enclosed trailers for general use.”
“The owner…was very traditional with marketing and advertising, but is very savvy when it comes to digital. Because of that, he was very interested in expanding his reach [by using digital advertising and cutting back on traditional formats]. He was facing stronger competition from other manufactures and retailers within the market and new markets [where he was trying to expand].”
Knowing AdMall as well as he does, Flaten was able to turn to the AudienceSCAN report, specifically, the Advertising Response portion, to lay out his campaign pitch.
“With AdMall, I was able to show him what forms of advertising his audience responds to,” said Flaten. “[Additionally,] I used AdMall to show him the potential reach using the demographic data and how his website scores compared to the competition based on the Digital Audit.”
The total amount the dock and trailer business agreed to for the campaign was $25,000.
“I sold him YouTube ads, streaming ads, display ads, and Google ads,” Flaten added.
According to Flaten, the dock and trailer business has already seen positive results from the new campaign, including more traffic to his website, traction in the market share, more phone calls and leads for his sales team, and longer visitor engagement on the website.
Flaten has advice for other sales reps looking to use AdMall in order to close their sales.
