A/V Dealers and the Changing Consumer Electronics World

December 2008 through February 2009 will be a busy time for consumer electronics stores and audio visual installation services. These retailers will be selling converter boxes to consumers who need to adjust their TVs to receive the digital-only broadcast transmissions that will commence on February 17, 2009. As consumers update their TV reception they may also need help with installation or connectivity.

Consumers may need education on what this change needs and they may also decide to purchase additional CE-related hardware to improve their home entertainment experience . The director of the Specialty Electronics trade association recently reminded members that CE consumers often spend up to 12 hours online researching their purchases. Whether your clients plan to increase their online ad spending or not, now is the time for them to connect with consumers . It might also be the perfect time for you to connect with new CE clients and help them develop an effective marketing plan for the holidays and beyond.
