Candy Buffet Stations – The New Wedding Accessory

by | < 1 minute read

Earlier this spring I blogged about the growth markets being enjoyed by candy manufacturers and how this trend often plays out during recessionary times. While a few big names like Mars and Hershey's dominate the mass market in this industry, local and specialty manufacturers can build a strong business selling directly to consumers or other small businesses. In general, candy companies are long accustomed to seasonal spikes around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and the Christmas holiday but a whole new trend is taking shape: The wedding market.magic_beans_2

According to a release from Candy Direct, brides are incorporating both candy and other edible arrangements into their receptions. Candy manufacturers are clearly expanding beyond the traditional retail stores and catalog channels to reach new markets. Clients ranging from wedding planners to event planners are looking for new, yet inexpensive, ways to delight and satisfy guests and clients.

Is it time to visit the new candy shop in your market and explore the best way for them to advertise their custom products to wedding and event planners?
