Next-Generation Interactive Kiosks may be the New Wave in Shopping

Now that most consumers are comfortable interacting with machines for obtaining everything from cash to plane tickets, companies are racing to design and build the next generation of self-service kiosks. These new devices may appear at your local stores any day now. The kiosks are all about personalized shopping and increased sales while reducing expenses for retailers. A spokesperson from research concern Gartner predicts that kiosks will soon be a familiar sight in retail stores where he expects consumers will experiment virtually with products such as cosmetics and apparel.

The use of kiosks is expected to increase across the board, especially in the health care, retail, food service, and banking industries. Remind your hardware design clients and software developers to market their expertise in this niche to increase their B‑to‑B sales. Direct mail, e‑mail, white paper and blog campaigns designed by your firm can help businesses establish a reputation in this growing industry.
