Opportunities for Health Care Marketing

Health care promises to be one of the hot topics in this year’s national elections. You can help your health-care related clients attract more business by marketing the types of products and services in demand. Here are a few key indicators from Deloitte’s 2008 Survey of Health Care Consumers:

  • Retail clinics will continue to grow in popularity. Up to 1/3 of consumers say they’ll use these facilities – over 1 in 6 already have with Gen Y and Seniors having the highest visit rate.
  • Alternative/holistic therapies are popular with over 1/3 of consumers.
  • Consumers are increasingly taking responsibility for some of their own health care. ¼ now maintain their own health records.
  • Consumers want more online interaction with health care providers.
