Of the 122,000 new consumer product goods introduced last year, just over 3% brought in sales exceeding $1 million. Here’s a list, ordered by category, containing the highest counts of newly introduced products in 2007:

- Bread/Baked Goods 4,056
- Paper products 3,827
- Snacks 3,529
- Hair care 2,786
- Medications/remedies 1,762
- Skin care prep 1,555
- Prepared frozen foods 1,362
The new products which brought in the most revenue for last year were in the snacks and paper products category.
