Brian Burgess’s new business efforts for KYTX TV in Tyler, Texas led him to pursue a cancer treatment center and he established a good relationship with the marketing director. The center was working with a California vendor for their digital needs, including hosting, SEO and other services. They were basically acting as their agency. Burgess knew he had to be able to show the value of his digital services. After setting the meeting, Burgess pulled a digital audit and was able to reveal that what they thought they were getting was not happening.
“The digital audit showed certain key points that ultimately led to the client allowing us to take control of their website,” Burgess said. The client ended up going with a total solutions package that included PPC brand-building, which included SEO, local listings, reputation management, and content development — along with Facebook ads and Facebook management.
Within the first week, Burgess received a phone call from the client telling him how much he appreciates what they’re doing and that their Facebook engagement has exploded! The client said he couldn’t be happier. This was mostly a digital campaign, but the total solution did include a strong broadcast TV schedule, as well. Total monthly spend for the digital solution was $8,800 for a total spend of $105,000 for the year!
