Hi. I’m Doug Lessells. On behalf of everyone at Salesfuel, we welcome you to this month’s featured Sell Smarter Award — where we honor excellence in media sales.

Megan Stratton of WTVC in Chattanooga, Tennessee, knew the challenge ahead when she approached a local real estate business. The owner was a complete roadblock, as no sales rep had ever been able to get past the front door. According to Stratton, the first time they met, he told her, “You know, I have my own team for this, and they are doing extremely well, so I am a tough sell.”

Rather than try to replace the in-house team, Stratton made the smart choice to position her services as a counterpart to what the digital marketing team was already doing. Using this strategy, she was able to bridge information gaps and present data where needed. Stratton says, “I used Admall’s digital audit info on planned communities to show the owner that there is a huge audience of his potential clients on over the top/streaming and that it would complement their current social and search strategy, not take away from it.” Since signing on with Stratton, the company has seen an increase in web traffic, along with booked appointments and showings.

We were able to get them to commit to them to commit to $2,500 a month in OTT for six months with the potential to bump up to $3,500 after the first 6 months,” said Stratton. In all, the final sale total was worth over $30,000.

Congratulations to Megan, along with the other Sell Smarter Award recipients: Danielle McNeely of Statesville Record & Landmark and Mary Powell of the Hickory Daily Record.
