How does the client regain trust in a streaming radio ad campaign when their last one failed?

Andrei Lintz, an account executive for Bonneville International, has used AdMall for nearly a decade. This helped when he approached a local door and window dealer, hoping to pitch a streaming radio ad campaign.

“The main challenge they are facing is a radio strategy that is inconsistent and one they’ve lost trust in because of their current advertising partners,” said Lintz. “We are bidding for their budget from a different station.”

“The business was established in 1948 to supply building materials and hardware to north Seattle. In the ‘60s, they added selling doors to satisfy demand by local contractors. Now, they specialize in doors and door hardware.”

How did AdMall help overcome these challenges?

“AdMall was crucial in helping build trust,” said Lintz. “For this account I pulled a Local Account Intelligence report and was provided with more resources than I knew what to do with. The coolest tool was the AI Idea Generator.”

“Admittedly, it was my first time using the AI section of this report and, quite frankly, I found it by accident while poking around on the page. I’m happy I did, because in an instant, I was provided with several 30-second creative ad ideas. All it took was a couple clicks of the mouse.”

“The AI Idea Generator made me feel incredibly prepared going into the call, and I could tell the client really appreciated how it sounded [like] I did my homework and was ready with copy ideas for them!”

What was the result?

The annual streaming radio ad campaign sale amounted to $42,000. Lintz, being a Sell Smarter! Award winner before, had advice for other sales reps not using AdMall as much as they could be.

“I feel like every time I go on AdMall I’m finding more useful resources,” said Lintz. “Just go in there and start poking around. I promise you’ll find useful information, and it will make you better.”

More About: Door and Window Dealers

These retailers may sell both windows and doors. They can offer services to install new units and/or replace existing units. Demand for new units is somewhat linked to the health of the housing industry and the number of new home starts.

These retailers often work closely with home builders and remodelers. Other market segments include industrial and commercial doors, so these retailers also sell to other businesses.

Industry segments for windows include aluminum, wood, vinyl, and skylights. These retailers also install related products such as sunrooms.

Part of the window market is tied to the overall health of the new home construction market. Another part of the market is tied to home maintenance. For example, once a house is 20 years old, consumers may be willing to replace windows to obtain higher insulating and waterproofing value and to take advantage of other new technologies available in window design. Recent developments include windows that reduce solar heat gain.

The window installation industry includes nearly 26,000 businesses that report revenue of $5.5 billion.

Keep in mind that door and window retailers may buy directly from manufacturers, or they may belong to distributor groups. Many window dealers align themselves with specific manufacturers. Dealers primarily compete with major building supply firms.

Because independent dealers must compete with large building supply centers, many are expanding their product lines to include awnings, glass, lighting, or siding, and they emphasize their level of expertise and service.
