How to take advantage of the 2026 World Cup with a targeted broadcast TV ad campaign?
Haley Johnson, an account executive from Nexstar, has been a multiple-time Sell Smarter! award winner over the last few years. She knew AdMall’s data could help her when she approached a local accountant service. She was looking to create a broadcast TV ad campaign centered around the 2026 World Cup.
“The owner is a tax advisor that worked for other CPA clients for a while and then decided that he wanted his own company,” said Johnson.
“They have about 70 clients now but want 300 to 400 clients ideally to work with. They were facing the challenge of brand awareness because they are such a new company.”
How did Johnson use AdMall for her broadcast TV ad campaign pitch?
“[Using AdMall], I was able to show them what other advisors are spending in the market and what the most influential medium was – which turned out to be broadcast television,” said Johnson.
“I used [the local account intelligence report, including] the most influential [media types sold], along with the insights and challenges.”
What was the outcome?
“I sold them broadcast television specifically in the FIFA World Cup, which has high-net-worth clientele,” said Johnson.
The broadcast TV ad campaign sale amounted to $2,800 for now, as Johnson is looking to build an annual campaign worth the same amount moving forward.
“I used AdMall to close the FIFA World Cup sale along with building another proposal for an annual,” said Johnson. “The accounting service agreed with a lot of the information and was influenced to spend more money because of the information from AdMall.”

More About: Accounting Services
Accounting firms provide services ranging from income tax advice and form preparation for consumers to bookkeeping, annual report preparation, financial statement auditing, and financial management advice to public and private companies. The annual revenue in this industry is about $140 billion. Professionals with the designation Certified Public Accountants (CPA) have met a required mix of education and experience and passed an exam which results in a license.
Nearly 90,000 firms operate in this sector, employing almost 575,000 employees. About 50,000 are CPA firms while other firms specialize in tax preparation services, bookkeeping or other accounting services. CPA companies generally offer audit, accounting and related management services to large and small businesses. These professionals, by law, can audit and comment on the financial statements of public companies.
The top four firms are estimated to hold about 35% of the industry's revenue. Recently, firms have expanded their offerings to include cybersecurity assurance and consulting. Accounting franchise firms may contract with smaller business owners to provide services ranging from payroll and income tax forms to general bookkeeping.
Consumers also use accountants, bookkeepers and other financial professionals to file income taxes and to plan tax strategies. The outlook for this industry is strong as the tax code becomes more complex.
